Delaware may be a small state, but it is long on history, natural beauty, and quality of life. Despite its reputation for attracting big business, much of the state remains quite rural– half of the state is farmland and one–third is forested. The state has over 380 miles of shoreline with 33 miles of direct Atlantic coastline. Delaware Bay retains some of the finest tidal marshes in the mid–Atlantic. Southern Delaware is filled with historic seaside and riverside villages, once home to shipbuilding communities of the past. Golf has become a major attraction at the beaches with the development of many award–winning, championship golf courses in recent years. The moderate climate provides weather suitable for golfing all year long. Additionally, Delaware holds the distinction of having no state sales tax.

The 'First State' offers a wide variety of coastal and Delaware Bay front real estate as well as highly desired equestrian and resort properties in all price ranges. Per–capita personal income ranks in the country's top ten with a who's–who of leading pharmaceutical, chemical, banking and auto manufacturing companies residing in the state.

It's a short drive from the major east coast cities of Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Norfolk or an hour across the Delaware Bay via the ferry from New Jersey. Northern Delaware, New Castle County, encompasses metro Wilmington's 73,000 residents which includes an active and diverse ethnic population. Northwest of the city is the famed Chateau Country where the du Pont family's legacy live on with elegant mansions and formal gardens.

Kent County and central Delaware is home to the Dover Air Force Base and the state's capital city of Dover. This growing region enjoys a low cost of living and a number of large manufacturers and high–tech firms. Southern Delaware and Sussex County's historic seaside and riverside villages were once home to wooden shipbuilding communities. Numerous state parks offer everything from beaches, camping, nature trails, boating, to superb surf, bay and freshwater fishing.
