I'ON Village
Send Me A Free Info Kit!Located across from Charleston’s historic harbor is a Lowcountry village named I'On, a thoughtfully crafted community which embraces the tradition of Southern living and hospitality. Patterned after the walking friendly neighborhoods of old Charleston, I’On neighborhoods are designed to encourage enjoying the beautiful, moderate climate of the region. Homes are built with broad front porches and streets have ample sidewalks which encourages the strong sense of community found in this close knit neighborhood.
I’On residents have three wonderful gathering places. I’On Square is where you find delightful shops, fine restaurants and offices you can walk to as well as regular farmer’s markets and music and art festivals. The Mount Pleasant Amphitheater is an ideal venue for outdoor concerts, live shows and movies. The I’On Club is the exercise and fun centerpiece of the community with its junior Olympic pool, six clay tennis courts, fitness instructors and kid’s camps. The beautifully designed Creek Club is perfect for conferences and receptions and is located along lovely Hobcaw Creek. There is always something happening at the I’On Club.
Perhaps the community’s most unique feature is the Rookery, a protected bird nesting area which has walking trails and viewing stands for enjoying the numerous native birds and fauna of South Carolina’s Lowcountry.
This remarkable community takes its name from Jacob Bond I’On, an American hero of the War of 1812 and South Carolina native.
